Second revolutionairy farm to be build

The revolutionary Kipster farm is so successful that Smiemans Projecten will soon start building the second location. This time in Beuningen, also in the Netherlands.

Major renovation for garden centre Great Amwell Van Hage

Van Hage has commissioned Smiemans Projecten to undertake a major renovation of its garden centre Great Amwell, near Ware in Hertfordshire.

Membership EFSA

Smiemans Projecten has become a member of EFSA, the European association of progressive suppliers in the garden centre sector. EFSA is known for their magazine and concept stores at various trade fairs, such as at the Spoga+Gafa.

Reinforcement of our project management team

Contract signed for garden centre Hortes

Garden centre Hortes has commissioned Smiemans Projecten to build their second garden centre in Tallinn.

New exhibition glasshouse for Landesgartenschau 2020

For the Landesgartenschau 2020 in Überlingen (DE) EdenParks, part of Smiemans Projecten, will build the new exhibition glasshouse for the special collection of cacti. The highlight curved glasshouse construction will be realized on a turnkey basis.

Inspiration tour en movie World Horti Center

The new project management team visited Fachjan, Koppert Cress and Greenvillage at TU Delft during an inspiration tour. Then a brainstorming session took place at the World Horti Center.

New restaurant for Hansaplant in Estonia

In the spring of 2019 we will build a new restaurant for Hansaplant in Estonia. The garden centre can also use this space for other festivities and gatherings.

Opening Ivy House of Groves Nurseries

On 14 May, the new restaurant Ivy House was opened by the proud owner Charlie Groves. This photo gives an impression of the magnificent restaurant for Groves Nurseries. The combination of steel and wood gives a warm appearance to the glass pavilion.

Smiemans Projecten goes the USA

Soon Smiemans will execute in collaboration with AP Holland a project in Boston, USA. The glass pavilion will accommodate a large variety of special plants.

World Horti Center officially opened by the Dutch Queen Máxima

March 7 the most important innovation center of the international horticulture sector was opened by none other than Dutch Queen Máxima.

Smiemans builds the World Horti Center

We received very good news just before we are going to celebrate X-mas: we are going to build the glass construction of The World Horti Center!
This will be the international platform for horticulture, a meeting point and knowledge center where business, education and research come together.

Project EdenParks nominated for 'The Roof of the year'

Jardin d'Hiverre at "Bomencentrum Nederland" has been nominated for the award: Roof of the Year. The independent jury noticed the special shape of the roof and the combination of the materials that have been used in this progressive project. This is a wonderful recognition for everyone of EdenParks, part of Smiemans Projecten.

Plant Propagation and greenhouse facilities for Botanical garden Inverewe (SCO)

Once again Smiemans Projecten has been given the assignment to build for a botanical garden. This time, the "National Trust for Scotland" asked us to build a propagation facility for Inverewe. Inverewe is one of the most famous gardens in Europe and one of the most visited in Scotland. "The National Trust for Scotland" is a non-profit organization that protects and promotes the natural and cultural heritage of Scotland.

Smiemans transforms of a traditional garden centre into an inspiring shopping environment of the well-known chain Avoca in Ireland, Dublin.

'Most distinctive in the industry' at SME Entrepreneur Award 2017

Last Thursday was the 11th edition of the SME Entrepreneur awards. Smiemans Projecten won the prize 'Most distinctive in the industry'.
Jeroen Smiemans: "It was a great experience and a recognition for the whole team." During a well-attended meeting of MKB Westland, the chairman of the jury of the MKB Entrepreneur Award, Lars Boellaard, announced the winners.

Smiemans Projecten builds new garden centre in Denmark

This time Smiemans Projecten builds a venlo type garden centre for the chain Billig Blomst in the city of Aalborg (DK). The garden centre with a surface of 4,800m2 will get a large entrance.

Botanical glasshouse Smiemans in development plan Fleetwood, UK

Smiemans Projecten is involved in a major redevelopment project for an old port in Fleetwood, west of England. Wyre dock development LTD is an investment company that has been asked by ABP, the owner of the port, to write a redevelopment plan. The goal is to transform this historic waterfront site still utilised by Fleetwood fish trading firms into a vibrant area where people can live, work, shop and recreate. This will benefit the town of Fleetwood.
