Havecentret Hobbyland (DK)
New garden centre without closing its doors
|Covered area||more than 3,000 m2|
Expansion of 3,000 m2 garden center in two phases
In the town of Roskilde, about 35 kilometers west of Copenhagen, Smiemans Projecten is building a new garden center for Havecentret Hobbyland. Our client asked us to divide the construction of this project into two phases. The first phase was delivered in March. We started the second phase in September and expect to deliver at the beginning of 2020.
Wide canopy with corridor for optimum convenience
After the demolition, a small part of the garden centre remained. Against this, a "wide roof" construction of almost 2,500 m2 was built. The roofs of the greenhouse construction differ in width for a playful effect, the entrance changed to a new and spacious entrance. A glass corridor runs around the outside area, allowing visitors to buy outdoor plants even in bad weather. The total garden centre is built on two levels, creating a clear partition of product groups.
Expansion garden center without closing doors
The second phase started in September and will be completed at the beginning of 2020. This expansion is also realized without closing the doors. After construction, the garden centre has a total covered area of more than 3,000 m2.
