Atrium for apartment complex (DK)

In Hornbaek (DK), we are commissioned to build an innovative atrium for a new residential complex. The atrium will cover a beautifully landscaped garden and provide residents with a comfortable year-round refuge.
Mounted on a steel frame is an “open roof” construction specially developed for Smiemans called Roll-Air Retail. The roof system can be opened or closed in just one minute, adapts to changing weather conditions and provides a pleasant, balanced climate in all seasons.
The atrium, designed in a U-shaped layout around the residential complex, provides residents with a green inviting space to relax, even in winter. This innovative construction shows how technology can enhance modern living while providing durability and flexibility.
Previously, we have successfully applied the Roll-Air Retail system in garden centres in Denmark and the Netherlands, with benefits such as improved usability, better working conditions and higher quality plants through the environment. Now this advanced solution brings more comfort and outdoor opportunities to Danish residents in Hornbaek.
